Sree Mookambika Institute of Dental Sciences (SMIDS) is one of the fastest emerging Dental Colleges in South India. Nestled among the serene hill-scapes of Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, SMIDS is one among educational institutions managed by Padanilam Welfare Trust.
The Sri Mookambika Institute of Dental Sciences was founded in 2000 and the college now has become a vast complex of educational, research, and service activities. Our institution has a longstanding record of accomplishments in dental education through its outstanding graduates and through the health care services they deliver to their patients. The college educates the future dentists and dental specialists through its Undergraduate Bachelor’s of Dental Science (BDS) course along with post graduate level Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) professional degree in various dental specialties. We have special programs to provide consultation services and treatment for needy patient populations at off-campus locations. Building on a history of creative excellence in education, research and community services, the college is opening new horizons in training dentists and researchers. Our college has been undergoing significant renovations over the past several years to keep up with the growing demands of technology, research, and teaching and to ensure we preserve our place as a premier academic institution. Through the support of our management, we are undertaking initiatives designed to maintain our facilities in a state-of-the-art condition, so that we can continue to offer optimal care and the best education.
